The major difference between the magnetic field and the magnetic flux is that the magnetic field is the region in which moving charges and poles experience a force. Thus, a magnetic field due to current carrying conductor depends on;
- Current flowing through the conductor and distance from the conductor.
The magnetic field increases with an increase in the current. The magnetic field is proportional to the current flowing in the conductor.

The magnetic field is inversely proportional to the distance from the current carry conductor.
Magnetic field due to permanent Magnet
The magnetic field associated with a permanent magnet can be seen by placing a sheet of paper over the magnet. And they are randomly sprinkling iron filings on the paper. Each particle gets quickly magnetized and forms the north and south poles. They form lines representing the magnetic fields between the north and south poles.
Magnetic Flux
The total number of magnetic force lines produced by the magnet is magnetic flux.
The unit of flux is Weber. SI and CGS units of the magnetic flux are Tesla and Maxwell, respectively. The one Weber is equal to the 108 lines of forces or the Maxwell.
